Bite on Gauze
Keep steady pressure on the gauze pad for 30-45 minutes immediately after the procedure to allow the blood clot to form.
Do NOT Spit or Use a Straw
For the first 24 hours, avoid aggressive rinsing, spitting, or drinking through a straw. The suction can dislodge the blood clot.
Apply Ice
Apply an ice pack to your cheek in 15-minute intervals to minimize swelling, especially after a surgical extraction.
Eat Soft Foods
